Carl August Borgstrm started ABU in Svngsta, Sweden, 100 years ago in 1921. Pocket watches, telephone timers, and taxi meters were all made by the company. Unfortunately, World War II reduced the demand for taxi meters dramatically. Unfazed, ABU shifted its focus to the creation of precision fishing reels that are utilised by fishermen all over the world. They are equally as committed now as they were a century ago to offering the best quality and most inventive items to fishermen all over the world.
